Queenstown Cat Rescue is independent Charitable Trust whose focus is to reduce the numbers of stray cats in the Central Otago area in New Zealand.

We have an amazing team of volunteers, all the work we do would not be possible without them. Tirelessly trapping, releasing, feeding and fostering. They are greatly appreciated and the fantastic work they all do never goes unnoticed. This page is dedicated to some of those who have helped us.

Lydia McCarthy

Lydia is our Cromwell  Co-Ordinator. Her role is to co-ordinate the team of volunteers in Cromwell and surroundings.  This involves transporting cats to and from the vets, fostering & socialising kittens and cats. Andrea Balona-Greengrass

Introducing you to Andrea. The contribution that Andrea makes to our organisation is huge. She is our master fosterer, fostering well over 100 kittens and still counting, she has been known to take on many challenging kittens and cats that needs special requirements & socialisation & she has proven to be very successful in this area. Julia Milley

Julia takes care of many of our incoming calls, feeds colonies of cats, traps, drops cats off at the clinics for neutering and releases them. Julia  has a passion for all the cats in the area and is always rolling up her sleeves for the cause. Julia also helps with our funding applications, monitors all online facebook messages [...]

Ruth De Reus

Ruth has many roles within the Queenstown Cat Rescue, including but not limited to… Co-ordinating the volunteer foster carers & volunteers that assist in fundraising. She takes care of our adoption registrations.  She also sets traps, then delivers the cats to the veterinary clinic for neutering & treatment. She fosters cats and kittens.

      Hi there. I dont know of any organisation that does cat rescue in Winton or Invercargill sorry. Perhaps contact the SPCA in Invercargill? Ruth
